1. Needs
Active Space Automation (ASA) develops, manufactures and deploys Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) for industrial environments, as well as the related whole controlling and management package. This leads to the need for robust control architecture and embedded software, development of customized electronic and mechanical solutions.

Active Space Automation is currently looking for a talented Electronics Engineer, motivated to integrate the electronics engineering department, and to work in the improvement and development of new equipment required for the AGVs.

2. Duties & Responsibilities
• Design system architectures for AGVs;
• Programming PLCs and inverters;
• Development of embedded software in Linux platforms;
• Define communications protocols;
• Design electric circuits and protections;
• Systems testing and validation;
• Design for serial production;
• Product Documentation.

3. Minimal Requirements:
3.1 Academic Qualification
• Electronics or Physics Engineering;

3.2 Key Technical Knowledge
• Industrial Automation, namely, electric circuits and protection design, PLC and inverter programming;
• Experience in C programming at Linux environments;
• Experience in Industrial Communication Networks: CANOpen, Profibus, RS485;
• Experience in designing digital and analogue electronic circuits, supported by SPICE simulations;
• Knowledge of low range wireless networks for smart sensors, such as zigbee and Wifi.

3.3 Practical Experience
• C programming for embedded control;
• Experience installing, fault finding and configuring automation networks;
• Experience in industrial sensors, actuators and safety control equipment;
• Development of detailed electrical design drawings and project documentation;

3.4 Languages
• Fluency in English;
